Interview with: Zeke
Length: 11 minutes, 8 seconds
Summary: Zeke talks about living in Thibodaux after the storm. The different New Orleans. Toys lost in the flood, new toys to replace them.
Notes: I broke my no editing rule. I edited out the sound when Zeke says his teacher’s name. I know, I know. Concession made. Compromised principles, etc., etc. But, I figured it was better than not showing the video at all. Besides, rules are made to be broken.

Zeke was adorable! I loved how he described his teacher as bossy, ugly, and sassy. Not to mention meeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaannnnn!!! Ha Ha!! It seemed to me like he didn’t really want to talk much about the storm. I’m sure it was very upsetting to him and as a child, he probably didn’t really understand why him and his family HAD to make all the changes that they did. However, he did make a new friend after the storm. My opinion is that you should interview some more children. It’s good to hear their point of view of the hurricane.

…on May 24th, 2006, at 7:01 pmHe had some good insight from the kid’s point of view. I liked the fact that he gave a pretty good history of the events after the storm and his new situation. It would be interesting to ask kids about how they feel the city is doing since the storm.
