Interview with: Ernest Svenson
Length: 9 minutes, 27 seconds
Summary: Ernie talks about living uptown, staying in New Orleans during Katrina, change to the city, focus on the positive. The positive effects of blogging. Meeting Dave Winer. Check out Ernie’s first post-katrina blog entry and the Katrina Entries section of his blog.
Notes: A little under 10 minutes seems to be a natural length for these interviews so far. Maybe I’ll aim for 5-10 minutes from now on. Anyone think 10 minutes is too long?

Nicely done Simon. I have enjoyed reading Ernie the Attorney’s blog for a couple of years. Via your video I can see that it is not just his writing that is clear and insightful. He speaks well and I appreciate his balanced perception of life here after the flood. New Orleans is an interesting place (a little too interesting these days) and attracts and holds interesting people like Ernie Svenson. Keep up the good work Simon.
…on May 16th, 2006, at 9:46 pmI’m enjoying all the interviews–especially this last one.
…on May 17th, 2006, at 10:04 amI like the “work in progress” idea. Editing them into one whole eventually could be very nice.
Suggestions: interview more different kinds of people. Let us see their houses, neighborhoods, etc.
Yes, everything is sunshine and roses uptown for you rich folks! …it must be tough, a traffic light out! ( Oh the woes of the petty bourgeois)
Try not having a home to come back to, getting evicted for no reason other than greedy landlords wanting to up the rent. Seeing that guys smug mug and bleached teeth only made my convictions stronger…It’s all about the haves and have nots…
